DeGuardia Signs European Hurricane!
Promoter
Joe DeGuardia of Star Boxing has added some “Eifel
Power” to his superb stable by inking former French
Super Featherweight Boxing Champion and World
Champion Thai Boxer, Ali “The Hurricane” Oubaali,
15-3 (14 KOs) to a promotional contract.
The 28-year-old Moroccan French knockout artiste is
a charismatic and multi-talented performer who
doubles as an actor in movies in his native France.
As an amateur, he captured a bronze medal in the
Military World's Championships 1999 and the French
amateur title in 2000. “I'm very excited, proud, and
honored to sign with Joe! I feel very comfortable
with him, and am certain we will make for a great
and successful team!” said Oubaali
DeGuardia echoes the sentiment: “We are excited to
add former French champion Ali Oubaali to the Star
team. He is an exciting fighter that will entertain
fans with his style. Ali promises he will live up to
his nickname "The Hurricane."
Manager
Paul Haberman says that pairing with Star will help
introduce an all-new audience to Oubaali’s
power-punching personality. “Ali is ready to make a
statement here in the United States, and with the
promotional savvy of Star Boxing behind him now,
warn them all: The Hurricane is coming, and the
world's top super lightweights are in the eye of the
storm!"
Oubaali will compete in the super lightweight
division and has relocated to the United States to
train and fully dedicate himself to his dream of
winning a world championship.
