Johnson to Battle on the
Plains!
Highly
touted heavyweight prospect Kevin
Johnson (10-0-1, 5 KOs) has been added
to the already stellar lineup of
fighters appearing on the Joe
DeGuardia’s Star Boxing event at the
Westchester County Center in White
Plains, New York, on October 11.
The New Jersey native
will face deceivingly tough Detroiter
Demetrice King in a six-round special
attraction.
“In just 11 career
fights, Kevin has already shown
tremendous promise and we’re excited to
have him on this show. In addition to
all the terrific fights on the card, the
fans in White Plains will now have the
opportunity to watch the future
heavyweight champion of the world in
action as well,” said an energized
DeGuardia.
In three short years as a
professional, the 6’ 5”, 236-pound
Johnson has already defeated two
well-respected fringe contenders in
Robert Wiggins and Robert Hawkins, both
of whom have fought well and/or defeated
several top contenders, and fought to a
draw with former world #1 contender
Timor Ibragimov.
“While most young
heavyweights build their records up for
years before facing any real opposition,
Kevin Johnson has already passed several
stern tests. He is the next real deal
and one of Star Boxing’s future
champions.” |
