That same night Star Boxing, in association with DiBella Entertainment, are putting together a card at the B.B. King Blues Club in New York City, New York. One night, two shows, three great fights make for one extremely exciting night of boxing.

James "Buddy" McGirt Jr. won a 10 round unanimous decision this past Friday at the Saratoga Springs City Center, Saratoga, NY against world rated middleweight Raymond Joval. The fight was a good give and take battle as both fighters gave it there all.

JOVAL SET TO TAKE ON MCGIRT

Raymond Joval (37-4, 16KO's) and James "Buddy" McGirt Jr. (18-1, 9KO's) weighed in yesterday and both looked to be in tremendous shape for their up-coming middleweight battle this Friday at the Saratoga Civic Center in Saratoga Springs, NY. The fight will be shown as the main event on this week's ESPN2 "Friday Night Fights". Joval weighed in at a solid 162.5 lbs, while McGirt tipped the scales at 160.5 lbs.

RODRIGUEZ NEW USBA CHAMP: BITTER SWEET VICTORY

On July 16th ESPN2 "Wednesday Night Fights," took place at the Municipal Auditorium in San Antonio, TX. The card, which was promoted by Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing, featured Delvin Rodriguez taking on hometown fan favorite Oscar Diaz for the USBA welterweight championship, a belt Rodriguez had once held, and as he stated prior to the fight, was extremely determined to get back.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to Oscar, his family, and all of Oscar's fans and friends in San Antonio," voiced Joe DeGuardia, CEO of Star Boxing. "This is very tragic, no one ever wants to see something like that. Oscar is a tremendous fighter and more importantly a tremendous person. It is hard to think about anything else right now other than giving our full support to Oscar.
