On Saturday night, WBC Heavyweight Champion Vitali Klitschko (39-2, 37KO) retained his title by scoring a twelve round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Kevin "Kingpin" Johnson (22-1-1, 9KO). Johnson had some success in the early rounds, but Klitschko was much busier fighter down the stretch. It was later reported Johnson suffered an elbow injury in the second round.

MADDALONE LOOKS TO BRING EXCITEMENT TO FRANCE

When heavyweight fan favorite Vinny Maddalone (32-5, 23KO) takes on former two-time cruiserweight champion Jean Marc Mormeck (33-4, 22KO) this Thursday, one thing is for sure, the fans in attendance will be treated to one very exciting fight. The bout, scheduled for eight rounds, will take place at the Halle Carpentier Arena in Mormeck's native Paris, France.

On January 29th at The Grand Sierra Resort in Reno Nevada, Brooklyn, NY's Curtis "Showtime" Stevens (21-2 15 KOs) will square off against and Yerington, NV's fan favorite Jesse Brinkley (34-5 22KOs) in an official IBF eliminator for the number two ranking in the super middleweight division. The fight, promoted by Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing and Let's Get It On Promotions, will be aired live on ESPN2's always popular "Friday Night Fight Series". A press conference is being held today in Reno to announce the upcoming bout.

KLITSCHKO VS. JOHNSON WEIGH-IN RESULTS

Vitali Klitschko (38-2, 37KO) and Kevin "Kingpin" Johnson (22-0-1, 9KO) both weighed in today in anticipation of their upcoming bout this Saturday in Bern, Switzerland, for Vitali's WBC Heavyweight Championship. The bout will be broadcast live on Germany's RTL television and shown tape delayed in the U.S. on HBO.

RODRIGUEZ HARD LUCK CONTINUES IN POLAND

On November 27th Delvin Rodriguez took on Rafel Jackiewicz in an official welterweight IBF Title Eliminator. Going in, Rodriguez knew he would have to put on a dominating performance to win a decision, being the fight was taking place in Jackiewicz home country of Poland. Rodriguez stated prior to the fight that he was going to be aggressive and take the fight right to Jackiewicz. Rodriguez also stated he was going to hurt the Pole, and look to knock him out. Rodriguez made it clear that he didn't want to leave any questioning up to the judges, and would put on a performance that no one could argue who the real winner would be. Everything Rodriguez stated and predicted were true, unfortunately, the only thing he was wrong about, was the decision, as Jackiewicz was awarded a highly controversial, if not out right ridiculous unanimous decision victory.

HUSTLER BOXING RESULTS

Last night at the Manhattan Center, Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing presented its premiere installment of "Hustler Boxing" with a five bout card. The show, which was televised live on the Versus Network, attracted some of New York's famous actors and sport figures, including Bert Young (Paulie from Rocky), Chuck Zito, as well as running backs for the New York Giants, Brandon Jacobs, and Danny Ware amongst many others.
